Hay fever in a child – how to prevent it?

Quick relief is provided by rinsing the nose and sinuses with saline, which helps clear the nose of debris and negatively impacting allergens. Rinsing will also provide thorough moisturization. Inhalations are also often used, which effectively help decongest the nose while making it easier for the child to breathe. Usually chamomile and thyme are added to inhalations, which have a disinfectant effect that is needed for hay fever. In addition, saline and other anti-inflammatory agents can be used for inhalation. Frequent ventilation of the room and walks in the open air are also usually helpful, only if there is no allergic catarrh triggering agent nearby.
